The Head of State, His Excellency William Ruto is expected this address the nation today, Monday 21st of August 2023.
The Address will commence at exactly 9:00 am from State House. According to State House Press Secretary Emmanuel Talam, the address will be joint between President Ruto and the Head of State of Indonesia, His Excellency Joko Widodo.
Hon Widodo arrived in the country last evening and was received by the Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Dr Alfred Mutua at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
According to earlier reports, President Widodo is in the country for a 2-day state visit. He has already discussed key national and bilateral agendas with Kenya's president at State House now that they're jointly moving to address the nation.
Reports indicate that President Widodo were to hold High Level consultations with his host, H.E. Dr William Ruto in matters of mutual interest between Kenya and Indonesia.
The meeting would also involve bilateral agreements focused on economic partnerships and deals aimed at promoting and strengthening bilateral relations as well as empowering the people of Kenya. Such issues are excepted to feature in the address.
