"My time here has taught me a lot both as a broadcaster and as a person. I will forever be grateful for the guidance and support in my role as presenter, and now as I leave I do so with pride and much satisfaction," the presenter wrote.

Arocho also expressed gratitude to the staff at Radio Africa Group who played a key role in his success at the station.  He gave special recognition to veteran sports journalist Carol Radull.

"Am once again thankful particularly to Carol Radull for helping me discover a side of me that I might have never discovered if it were not for the opportunity she offered me!" He wrote.

He lauded his fans, including his one million Facebook followers, for their unwavering support through the 14 years.

In a past interview, the presenter admitted that Radull scouted him and hired him after a rare encounter during a football match between Gor Mahia and Mathare United.

"There was an issue that brought the game to a halt and I was very vocal about what stopped the match.  She asked me for my number so that we could discuss what happened during the match on her show,"  Arocho noted.

At Radio Jambo, he hosted The Weekend Warm Up show every Saturday from 11 am to 2p.m alongside Diamond Okusimba and Bramwell Mololo.

He also presented sports news and commentated live football matches. During the week, he graced the Sporty Monday show on Citizen TV as a pundit.

Before radio, Arocho was a footballer and played for premier league clubs Sony Sugar and KCB.
